Your Donation Is Vital
Without voluntary donations, Action Homeless would have to rely on grants which would allow us only to give basic accommodation and support to homeless people.
But we also want to give our service users the chance for change and enable them to rebuild their lives and fully rejoin our community. We use your gifts to run our resettlement and advice service which works hard to ensure that when people move on into their own tenancies they have the support to stay there.

How your gift helps
We’re grateful for every donation no matter how small, because every gift makes a difference:
- £20 – can fund an emergency bed in Winter for one night
- £40 – can fund 2 beds, which are in great demand as the temperature falls below zero
- £100 – can buy the basics for someone moving into their own home
Winter Appeal
The Action Homeless Winter Appeal 2011/12 aims to raise £10,000 to help fund emergency beds for those people sleeping rough in Leicester.
Rough sleeping is rising again in Leicester. 40-50 people are faced with nowhere to sleep tonight, these are the worst figures since records began. With your help we can give people shelter and a chance to move on.
Just £20 can help us take in a rough sleeper. Our door at Mayfield House is open 365 days a year. With your help we can provide an emeregency bed, a hot meal, a shower and someone to talk to. Please look at our Winter Appeal flyer for more information as to how you can help with our appeal.
