Hermitage 10K run

24 August 2009

Members of the Action Homeless running club completed their first competitive outing on 23rd August when they took part in the Hermitage 10K race.  As they quickly found our this isn't a course for the feint-hearted, with nearly 5k of uphill before some serious undulations leading to a steep downhill and then a sprint finish! Andy Hall-Venmore finished in a time of 53.08 minutes with Shaun Kirpatrick and the CEO, Rob Parkinson coming in close behind.  The Action Homeless Running Club will next be competing in the Leicester Half Marathon in October. If you're interested in getting involved contact Shaun Kirkpatrick on 0116 2211855 or email shaunkirkpatrick@actionhomeless.org.uk.  Runners of all ages and abilities are welcome!
