Resettlement
Everyone who leaves Action Homeless accommodation has the option to receive follow-up support from our resettlement team.
The goal of the resettlement team is to enable service users to achieve a successful transition from Action Homeless accommodation to independent living. The team can provide information and support on a range of issues such as benefits entitlements, managing your own property and finding employment. They offer home visits and also have a drop-in centre with an IT suite where people can attend for information and advice.
The resettlement team benefits from the support of a team of dedicated volunteers who fulfil several different roles, including mentors, befrienders and drop-in centre assistants. Many of our volunteers are former service users who have decided to get involved in our work. Take a look at our volunteering pages if you are interested in getting involved.
