£6,000 funding received from Crane Charitable Funds after nomination from Druck

Action Homeless are pleased to announce that we have received a donation of £6,000 from the Crane Charitable Funds, following a nomination from Druck, a Crane Company business, and global leader in pressure measurement technology.

This donation will have a great impact on the lives of the individuals and families experiencing homelessness that we support. The funds will be used to support people affected by homelessness in Leicester and Leicestershire. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing cost of living crisis we are seeing more and more people approaching us for help.

Our impact statistics for 2024 to 2025 show that we provided safe and secure accommodation to 427 people, 97 (23%) of whom had been rough sleeping. 562 people received advice and assistance through our duty response line, 68% of whom were homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness at the time of their call. We helped 200 people move to a more permanent home through personalised support.

Donations such as this one mean that we can continue to provide people with both practical and emotional support at an incredibly difficult time in their lives.

We would like to thank the team at Druck for nominating Action Homeless. We have enjoyed a longstanding and positive relationship with Druck, and we are deeply grateful for the support the team continues to provide. Their contribution helps us continue our work to break the cycle of homelessness for individuals and families across Leicester. The team at Druck has supported us in many ways over the years, not least through the time they generously give to volunteer at key events such as our Big Christmas Lunch. Their volunteers are always enthusiastic, compassionate, and respectful of both the work we do and the people we support. We are extremely appreciative of their ongoing commitment and partnership.

Debra Farmer, who coordinates the charitable and volunteering activities at Groby based Druck, said: “Action Homeless is a wonderful charity, and we’re delighted to continue our support through our parent company’s Crane Charitable Funds.”

Action Homeless are committed to delivering high quality homes and personalised support which enables people to break the cycle of homelessness and go on to lead happy and fulfilled lives. We are proud to have been helping people who are experiencing homelessness in our local community for over 50 years.
