The key to a new home for Christmas

Over the last few months, one of Action Homeless’ housing projects has undergone a major transformation. This week, we’ve been adding the final touches and preparing the property to become home to seven people who are experiencing homelessness in Leicester. Residents will move in this week with help from the Action Homeless team following a stay in hostel accommodation.

The property has been completely refurbished and now offers seven modern living spaces complete with kitchenettes and en-suite bathrooms. Situated in the Stoneygate area of Leicester, the house has been fully furnished and decorated with home comforts helping the new residents to settle in.

Mark Grant, CEO of Action Homeless, said ‘we cannot break the cycle of homelessness if people don’t have access to good quality homes. This latest refurbishment represents Action Homeless’ commitment to providing safe and secure living spaces which offer people the dignity, privacy and stability that they need to leave homelessness behind.’
