We’ve achieved Gold for Investors in People

Action Homeless are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Gold accreditation for Investors in People. A Gold accreditation means that not only do we have the right policies and values in place, but that everyone from our CEO to our volunteers takes ownership for making them come to life. Only 26% of organisations achieve Gold, and so this is a result we are very proud of.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “Gold accreditation on We Invest in People is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places Action Homeless in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

The assessment was a great opportunity for the Action Homeless team to have their voices heard via our staff survey, which received an 85% response rate. The feedback from the survey results will help us learn more about what we do well, but also how we can improve further. As part of our assessment results as an organisation we will also receive recommendations and an action plan so we can keep moving forward and improving wherever possible.

Investors in People believe that the success of an organisation begins and ends with people, and that if we make work better for everyone, we make work better for every organisation. And if we do that, we make society stronger, healthier and happier. Investors in People have been making work better for organisations across the world since 1991. Since then, they’ve worked in 66 countries, making work better for over 11 million people worldwide.
