Action Homeless is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and the Safety and Response Officer team plays a vital role in ensuring everyone has a decent and safe place to call home.
This fantastic opportunity will see you support our services, to maintain the safety for our clients and security of our properties.
As a safety and response officer you will:
- Respond to any emergency situations that occur
- Provide a welcoming, responsive and proactive presence to our customers and visitors ensuring their safety and the safety of the buildings is upheld.
- Carry out checks and regular patrols of the buildings, responding to any incidents and involving emergency services as and when is necessary.
- Monitor and operate our CCTV systems across multiple sites and our door entry systems
- Responsible for Health and Safety inspection whilst on duty, taking action when required and for implementing fire and fire alarm procedures including evacuation
We are looking for candidates with:
- An approachable manner and the ability to remain calm.
- Ability to operate CCTV systems and security equipment
- Ability to operate smart phone technology and use ICT equipment for completion of reports and records
- Understanding of Health and Safety
- Ability to work as part of team but be as equally comfortable working alone
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage time and prioritise
- Must be able to drive and have access to own vehicle
